Core features
Ophixor combines visual design with structured data and logic, giving you full control over how your application works.
Components
All components in Ophixor are basic building blocks from which you create your graphical user interface.
Templates
A template has a name and a component. You can create these yourself and reuse them across different pages.
Models and data
A model is a schema that describes the structure and rules that data created for that model must follow. Data is the content that you can read or view.
Expressions
An expression is a constant or a function with zero or more parameter arguments that returns a value.
Data sources
A data source can be attached to a component instance in order to make the component instance and its children more dynamic.
Actions
An action is a procedure with zero or more parameter arguments that execute some operations.
Integrations
An integration is a set of endpoints. Each endpoint is configured with a schema that describes the data structure.
Export
You can export static versions of your pages as clean HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The export pipeline is currently limited.
Performance
Performance is crucial and this is something that is focused on a lot. A page should load fast and not lag.
About Ophixor
The idea behind Ophixor is that you should be able to develop practically any website or web application visually in your web browser. Pretty much anyone would then be able to develop their project on their own, without hiring web developers. You would also avoid the default process of compiling the code, moving it to the server and restarting it with the updated code because all changes occur directly.
The idea for the project first came to the founder of the project several years ago. When he learned Next.js, which the project is based on, he started on his own CMS project that was later abandoned. After that he updated his project management platform to expand on its use-cases. At the end you could manage projects, communities and e-commerce stores. But the flexibility he sought after was missing. That is why he started on Ophixor. Instead of enabling or disabling features, you build your own features on the platform.
Right now Ophixor is in a beta phase and is actively being developed. You cannot purchase a subscription and when this will be available is not known at this point in time.
At first the project was called PageCraft. But that name was already used by many projects, so it was changed to Ophixor. The name does not have any meaning. It is just unique.
